US President Donald Trump‘s visit to India is over, and there is no doubt that US President Trump’s official visit to India was very successful, although it was already decided that whenever Trump would visit India, There will be a bigger event than Howdy Modi in Houston. Not only will he get the votes of many Indian-Americans, but he also signed a huge defense agreement with India worth $03 billion. There were no trade deals in the two countries on this tour, but instead of a small deal, they have laid the foundation of a very big trade deal, which is expected to be done by the end of this year.

In this visit, many interpretations were made of private conversations between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump, but the biggest thing is that Donald Trump came to India. He does not like long-haul flights and does not like to go out, yet he toured India with the family even though it is his election year and he has less time. Donald Trump is the fourth consecutive US President after Bill Clinton, George Bush and Barack Obama to have visited India. Now it has become a tradition. Although a limited trade deal was also being discussed in this tour that agreement could not be reached, because trust is still less on both sides and more issues. Since both leaders are adopting protectionist policy for their country, this agreement was deferred till the election. The US administration knows that India will also have to exempt in many issues that Americans may not like, so Trump wants to compromise India to reduce the $25 billion trade deficit. India ranks ninth in terms of deficit while China with $400 billion in the first position, Mexico second with $100 billion, Japan third with $65 billion, Germany fourth with $62 billion, Vietnam with $55 billion, are ranked fifth. Our position is far below the trade deficit of all these countries, yet after waging a trade war with China and entering into a first-stage trade agreement, Donald Trump placed the most pressure on the ninth-ranked India.

India, because we are not only the fifth largest economy in the world, not only the world’s second largest arms importer, but India is also the second largest market in the world, under the guise of which the US President wants to capture Indian consumer market for his dairy and agricultural products in this country, so that their prices are not reduced in the international markets to maintain and sell them. Therefore, America does not hesitate to use all kinds of tactics to enter India’s market. Although being a religious vegetarian identity and agricultural country, about 60 percent of India’s population runs employment from agriculture-related areas, so any kind of agro-import would be very sensitive for India, apart from cows in the US to get more protein, they are given meat in fodder, so the Indian government kept its religious customs for many decades the ban on selling American dairy products is under the guise, but under the present pressure, this ban is seen to be staggering, and if this ban is lifted then it will give America a big market but the price of milk is reduced from 45 to almost 25, which will put a crisis on the future of Indian milk producers because the arrival of these agricultural and dairy products in India, Indian producers will not be able to compete with the price and quality. Although US President Donald Trump has accused India of being the Tariff King many times before his visit, the Indian Prime Minister did not enter into any trade agreement on agriculture and dairy products, showing the country’s sensitivity and political acumen. .

India has to take care of the interests and sensitivity of its agriculture, small and medium industries sector before any trade agreement with the US. At present, the trade agreement during this visit was limited to defense, aviation and technology, but the visit has strengthened relations between the two countries and there is a strong possibility of further strengthening of trade agreements in the future. India wants it to be given the status of General System of Preference (GSP) again, so that the export of $5.7 billion worth of goods is possible without hindrance, in addition to reducing the 25 percent tariff imposed on steel, so that there is no crisis on the Indian steel industry. As India is the second largest steel producer in the world with 107 million tonnes after China 938 million tonnes. However, both the leaders have their own votes, which they want to satisfy. But India will try to tilt this deal because India is bridging the US trade deficit by buying oil and gas from it, the situation is that now America has become the world’s largest oil seller, which was the largest till a decade ago Used to be a buyer. Last year, India bought about $07 billion in oil and gas from the United States, while this year the trade is expected to be $09 billion. This purchase is different from defense deals; currently we will buy 24 anti submarine MH-60 Romeo helicopters for Navy and 06 AH-64E Apache helicopters for Army. Apart from this, the US wants to sell its NASAMS-II air defense system to India under pressure to buy the S-400 anti ballistic missile system from Russia, which is currently in process, but soon it will be finalized in the 2+2 meetings. This has reduced the trade deficit between the two countries, which will surely please President Trump. But apart from this, Trump is also seeking to increase India’s cooperation in Afghanistan and introduce strict laws in patent regulations. The India-US Free Trade Agreement was also discussed in recent times but due to its previous Free Trade Agreements and recent RCEP, this agreement could not be reached.

The biggest motive behind his family’s first visit to India soon after President Trump escaped impeachment is the close of the US elections, which will begin the process of becoming his primary presidential candidate in just a few months. As the US President and his entire family have arrived in India and cherished their memories, it is certainly historic as they have not visited any family before, and after going back to Arizona, in his address He told the people that I will never see that enthusiasm again as I have seen in India where a population of one and a quarter million was present, besides their daughter Ivanka Trump‘s many memes dominated the Indian social media, to which she made an unwavering place in the hearts of Indians. He also said that I have made many friends in India.

Trump had also mentioned Kashmir and Pakistan in front of PM Modi at the event held at Motera Stadium. It will be seen in its own way in India and America and also in Pakistan. However, by mentioning Pakistan, Trump has not achieved any attainment, but India was also hoping that Trump would say such things. Since both Modi and Trump are nationalist leaders, the present Indian government understands Trump very well. They have said many times that if both sides want, they would like to mediate on Kashmir and this time also they said this, so India did not surprise much. But another aspect is that the peace deal in Afghanistan was done in the same way to make Pakistan happy, because Pakistan and its Prime Minister Imran Khan always urge Trump to pressurize India, so that it let us start a conversation with him, so Trump says this in public, it makes Pakistan happy and his people too, but the But the Government of India does not make any difference to it. This is part of the well thought out strategy of the US administration, which balances both India and Pakistan, because the Americans also know that if India is not ready to mediate on Kashmir, then what Trump, no one can interfere in it. And this policy is very strong not only of present-day Narendra Modi’s India, but also from them decades ago. There is also a bitter truth, which we Indians need to know is that it is a few days before Trump comes to India that their Trade Representative Office of America removed India from the list of developing countries, that is, India will not get any special exemption. This is the second major setback for India after GSP, on the other hand, America needs India to balance China in Asia, so America is giving more preference to India. And given the fact that the United States made a serious report on the Citizen Amendment Act and Delhi violence issued by the Religious Freedom Commission, I think it will not have a major impact on the our strategic partnership. If it gets out of control at all, that India becomes unstable as a country, then there is nothing like that and hope that the Modi government will find a solution soon. But the fat thing is that America wants to balance China, because both Democratic and Republican parties in America understand that China is their main rival. For him, partnership with India is very important.

Beyond the report released by his US Commission on Religious Freedom, Trump did not say anything about the CAA and Delhi violence. When President Trump was asked a question about it, he did not give any concrete answer, while protests about the CAA spread to the US and also in the media much was written. Trump had already said before the press conference on this issue that I would not speak on any contentious issue. However, this issue must have been raised in his private conversation because the White House had already indicated this. At the press conference, Trump even reacted to this by saying that Modi has told him in detail what is the problem of Muslim minorities in India and he also said that earlier there were 14 million Muslims, now it has increased. However, the trumps, as usual, were a lie again because there have never been 14 million Muslims in independent India. At present, Muslims constitute 14% of the total population in India, i.e. around 20 crores.

But the question is whether Donald Trump will be able to become president again, so that he can come back to India. Although this was not Trump’s first visit to India, even before that he has come for business, but at that time he was not the President. Of course, they will still come back to India but under what circumstances, it will be interesting to see. Because his rival Democratic Party and its leader Bernie Sanders have made it an issue. He is watching what is happening in India, he has asked many questions to the Indian administration on Delhi violence and CAA and has also questioned the citizenship and security of 200 million Indian Muslims, a resolution is also going on in the US Parliament. The Indian-American MP Pramila Jaipal has started, this has increased the popularity of Sanders very fast and they give the prospect of a candidate than Trump. Being played, it is a matter of concern, because people are watching and we cannot hide it. It will also be in India’s interest that Trump becomes the president again. But it is to be understood here that both our leaders, be it Modi or Trump, came to power with the dream of making the country great and today both of them are important faces of nationalism of the world, one has kept the media of the country under its control and the other has taken away the kingship of the media, thus the fourth pillar of the world’s largest and oldest democracy has been crippled, in such a situation only Donald Trump come to India as President, it is not only important, rather, we will also see the present Indian government, which has been lynched by India around the world on Delhi violence, economy, unemployment, CAA and NRC, will retain its power or not.
